I recently inked a blog post that was dedicated to the wonderful world of dining room tables. If you did not get a chance to read it, the upshot was that now is the perfect time to place an order on a dining room set, especially if you want it to arrive just in time for the holidays. Well, continuing on the theme of wining and dining, I’d like to focus my attention to buffets.
Buffets, also known as side-tables, are a great place for presenting snacks at a party, keeping food hot at a dinner party, or as an elegant place to serve mouth-watering desserts. Plus, buffets are a great complimentary side-kick to a prominent dining room set.
From personal experience, when there are more than ten people at the dining room table, passing becomes a very difficult task from a logistical standpoint—and not because of any animosity of course. That is why I particularly like a well-positioned and able-serving buffet in the dining room come the holidays. With the buffet in a place, it is easier to get up and take a second serving of savory meatballs or a tart cranberry sauce than having it passed down at a full table with many family members.
The beauty of the buffet is that it comes in all sizes, styles and most importantly at BEYOND Stores, there is a buffet that will fit your budget. Take for example the Prepac Coal Harbor Espresso Wall Mounted Buffet, it combines fashion, functionality and it comes at an affordable price. True, it does run a little on the small size; however, since it is mounted on the wall it really gives an airy look and feel, yet it has ample space to hold grandma’s famous pumpkin pie.
If you are looking for something a little bit bigger and more rustic, might I suggest to you the American Drew Laurel Springs Credenza in Aged Bourbon. With a deep bourbon finish and rubbed bronze hardware, this buffet provides ample storage space and a classic look to enhance your dining room. I personally think this free-standing buffet offers a lot of versatility, and in addition to being an appropriate place to hold the holiday meats, it is high enough to hold candle sticks and flowers without fearing that a child will inadvertently knock something over.
However, I would like to point out that there are even bigger and more expensive buffets. If this is something that piques your interest, then check out Basset’s Borghese Mirrored Buffet/Server, the granddaddy of buffets. It is certainly stylish and going back to my original premise about serving a grand holiday dinner buffet style, this buffet/server will make you proud. What is really nice about Basset’s buffets—and not only this particular model—is that they generally come with ample space and drawers to store things in a neat and orderly fashion. The Borghese comes complete with three drawers and four doors, which is big enough to hold a royal tea set.
So no matter what your needs are, BEYOND Stores has exactly what you are looking for, and within a matter of minutes you can be the proud owner of your next exciting home purchase.
